Boyar you’ve got universal video microphone, adjustable mini tripod, universal smartphone grip and a battery free operation. So you can see that this is the model vg350, and these are the features that’s mentioned over here. So these are the things which comes into the box. You’Ve got the led light. The shotgun microphone um clamp with cold shoe mount smartphone, clamp shock, mount ball, head mini tripod, fire even screen and an extension tube this stuff here. So let’s begin the unboxing okay. So keeping that aside. So this is the warranty card um. We got two stickers here: boya the instruction manual yeah, so you’ve got english instructions on one side and chinese instructions on the other side, okay, guys so i’m, going to take the pieces one by one. Okay, let’s start with the cables here. Okay, there are three cables that comes along with this kit. This one is a usb cable. This end goes to your computer and this end goes to the led lights, which is for charging basically. So this is how you charge it right, so that’s for that and we’ve got two cables here. This is basically for the microphone now. The main difference over here is one is for connecting to camcorders, um cameras and stuff, like that, while the other one is used to connect to your smartphone, this is called the trs cable and this is called the trrs cable. How do you know the difference? You get to see two lines here.
This is the trs cable, okay and on this side, you’ve got three lines here, so this is going to go into your microphone while this is going to go to your camcorders and digital cameras and stuff like that. But on this cable over here, both the sides are the same. So one side goes to your smartphone and the other side goes to the microphone and the best part is they have labeled it over here with the picture as well. So it’s pretty easy to find. You are not going to make a mistake here same thing on this one also yeah, you got microphone over here and you’ve got camera over here, so those are the three cables that come along with this thing, this one. This is the furry windscreen and this is what is going to help reduce your noise. So basically you connect this onto your microphone. You can start recording with no disturbance whatsoever at the background, even if it’s a windy day when you shoot something in that and when you connect to your laptop and when you do your post production mode, you will find a huge reduction in the noise that comes In your recorded video, it is not going to reduce the background noise to 100, but definitely 70 of it will be gone. So this is really good, um addition to the kit and it is kind of losing hair as well. So the next one is led, and this will get mounted on top of your smartphone.
Okay and it’s got the on and off switch. You get a charging port and i think this is the brightness, so let’s just see this is actually pretty bright. The light is actually pretty bright, but this is the lowest setting. So now let’s go to the medium setting and high, so it’s, pretty bright, so i’m. Pretty sure that this would be a very great addition, um in shooting a video with your front camera on your phone it’s, pretty tight. Okay, i think i’m, blinded okay! Next, i think i’ll start with the tripod, and this is going to be your tripod stand. Okay and you’ve got the volume there’s lubricant over here, so you know this is going to move very easily, so you need to loosen this first and you’ll find that this is very free in moment, and you can just lock it down here and even tighten it Back and you can get a completely 90 degree angle shot with the setup. Okay, the best part is, you can move it in any angle. You want and tighten it that way, and you can keep it firmly on that direction. Now, with regards to the stand, this is the maximum height, but there is one way to lower it. Even more you need you, you see the red thing, you need to move that to the right side or is it anti clockwise? This is clockwise yeah. So you move it to the clockwise direction, but if you’re trying to move it, you will not be able to move it before you move it.
What you need to do is you need to close the stance back because there’s a locking system inside and then you move the singer. You see this arrow over here. It was over here. You move it here and then you split the legs and you find that it is, it has spread even more and it has gone even more lower. Now this is much lower now in terms of height that’s, actually, a very good and decent subtle feature of this thing now. This is the way how it came with the this mount already fixed on it. So there’s a stand here which is called an extension uh tube. Basically, so this thing comes here: if you want to increase the height of your tripod, stand even more. What you need to do is you need to remove this and by putting the extension tube on top of it. You can further increase this by loosening this and pulling this up and then again tightening this, and now we got a pretty good height for the stand and once that’s done, you take your top mount and tighten it on top. Okay, once that’s tight, you can choose what angle you want it in right and you can tighten it. So when you, when you tighten this lever, this is going to be tight. At the same time, even the left and right uh movement is also going to be tight, so that’s fixed make sure you don’t touch this area where the ball is or the the ball area, because that’s lubricated so it’s.
You know it’s very easy to you, know, get fingerprints and dirt and everything over there. Next thing you can do is take the clamp. This is what is going to hold your smartphone and you’ve got the thread over here. I do that you’re already halfway there now. So now you can put your smartphone from that, be careful when you put your smartphone, because i i’m very because i am normally clumsy. So i sort of normally drop my phone. So i have placed the phone a bit to the left side so that it doesn’t press the um on off switch to the sides. Okay, so once that’s done, you can take the what’s. This called the shock mount right. Cord liar shock mount okay. So this is what is going to hold the microphone basically, and this thing goes on top and then you tighten that once you’re done with that, you’ve got clamp with cold shoe mount okay. So this is the clamp, and this is the shoe mount, not sure why it’s called shoe mount, but basically this is what is going to hold the led. You need to put slide the led through the clamp this way and then tighten it once that tightens lower the clamp and you could just tighten it, make sure you don’t tighten it that hard because end of the day, you’re tightening it on the screen. So you get the idea so i’m going to connect my okay.
This is not the cable that i need. This is the cable that i require so connect it to my 35mm jack and and you’ve got line out and headphones over. Here you connect the cable to the line out, okay and then it’s pretty tight, but make sure that you place it properly. So your vlogging kit is now ready, so let’s try it out i’m. Just gon na try, google cam! Oh my god. I covered the camera itself, so let’s see how this goes so guys. This is a test video and i’m, using my stock camera for my phone and i’m, not i’ve not switched on the led light, nor have i connected the mic, so this is basically using the microphone from my phone and the stock lighting. Whatever light i have in my room, but the quality of the camera is pretty bad in this particular phone. The phone that i’m using is an rog phone 2, which is basically a gaming phone and not a good phone at all for photography or something like that. So i am using google cam app and i’m recording this video from the front camera using the google app let’s see how it is or if there is any improvement when i connect the microphone. Okay, guys, i have connected the microphone right now, and this is the boya microphone, the one which comes with the kit. It’S called the vg or gg yeah it’s called the vg350 boya and uh i’m.
Also i’ve also put the fluffy what’s that called again yeah i’ve. Also put the furry windscreen on top of my shotgun mic and so i’m expecting a kind of an upgrade in the microphone quality. Now i’m gon na try something with the led light switched on. Both these videos were taken without the led lights now i’m gon na try one with the led lights, so okay. So this is how uh the oh, my god, i’ve got so many spots on my face. Okay, my i think i’ll go a bit back yeah, so this is how it is uh, with the led light switched on and on your face so i’m going to increase the intensity. Now, okay and one more, this is the brightest you can go and you can see that there is an improvement in the quality of the video as well as far as what i can see here and right now, it is shooting, with the microphone connected to my Phone and the led light at the maximum brightness, so this is the maximum you can get from this kit and it can’t go more than that. Of course, you’re going to get even much more much better quality in your video. If you’re going to use a samsung s 10 and above or an iphone 10 and above and any other camera, any other phone that has a very good camera, this has definitely stepped up. The overall quality of the video that’s been recorded now i’m gon na reduce the light a bit because it’s it’s too bright, actually it’s too bright, i’ve already it’s too bright yeah.
But then, without that again, i’m gon na turn off the light. Now, oops yeah, the quality goes much down now and i can see grains. I can see the small grains on the screen as well, so when i turn it on the green, when i turn it on, the green actually disappears. Obviously so it is, it is actually a good uh basic kit. Of course, there are much more advanced kids out there and much better kids out there that’s for sure, but for a basic beginner budget type of kit have logger kit, basically for a smartphone, then this is definitely a good choice. Now, since this comes with a 3.5 m jack, so your phone should have a 3.5 m jack. And if you are gon na use a type c phone, then probably you will have to get a converter, an adapter which has one end with the 3.5 and the other end as the type c and the same thing goes for an iphone as well um. You will have to get the specific converter or the adapter for this thing, and once you get that you are completely sorted, but all those who have a 3.5 m jack. This kit is for you, if you plan to start a basic vlogging venture, basically so guys. This is how it is going to be in the night uh just concentrate on the sound and how bright the light is going to be so this is without the lights and without the microphone connected to my phone.
This is night time over here in the cutter and i’m going to connect my microphone now it’s, pretty hard. Okay i’ve got the microphone connected right now, now i’m going to switch on the lights. Okay, yeah there you go. This is the lowest bright settings. Okay and it’s pretty good and i’m, also going to increase the intensity that’s one time and that’s the time. This is the brightest okay. So this is how it’s going to be when you’re going to record a video in the night uh using the boya kit, so it’s, not bad it’s, actually pretty good i’m going to reduce the intensity, and this is the normal brightness settings and i i’m not sure How clear the the audio is? I’Ve got vehicles going on the road i’ll have to check that once i connect it to the computer, but this is how the original quality is i’m going to disconnect the cable. Now i mean i’m going to disconnect the microphone now. There you go now, this is without the microphone, and this is how the sound is going to be. If you don’t, connect the microphones so that’s it guys. This is the review unboxing and what i thought of what i think about it: everything all together. Jumbled in one single video whatever, if this video has helped you, if you like the video, then definitely do like subscribe and comment.
