Well, as you’re already aware. By now, the android 11 update is out for the oneplus note and the ot is rolling out and sooner or later everyone will get it, and those of you who want to sideload can do it for sure. But remember these two things in mind and my apologies, if i’m repeating this again and again, but if you go from open beta to stable android 11, then you will end up losing your data else. If you are on oxyos, 10.5.10 or 10.5.11, you will not lose any data, but if you still have doubts and are not sure or if you skip this video for xyz reasons. Well, just make sure you read the pop up after selecting the file, it clearly states when the data will be lost. Okay, now, that part is over. Let’S come to the review of auxiliary noise 11, and what issues are there on this version? By the way, you can also watch this video in hindi on the bittech, hindi channel and i’ve got you covered in that part. Now. First of all, some people are facing issues with the canvas, aod and notification bubbles, and some are even complaining about lag here and there, and there is one simple solution for all of these issues and that is to format your device as it does help a lot And on my unit, all of these issues are just not there plus other people have tried the same after formatting and yes, it does help.
But if you cannot format, then just wait for the next update now coming to the benchmark scores first, so on the antutu benchmark, the device goes 3 lakh 26 643 points which might not be the highest, but some of you asked for it well here it is, But if i talk about performance of this device in general, well, it performs fine and i haven’t observed any lag whatsoever, but i do feel occasional heat up while charging or heavy multitasking nothing that concerning, but it is there and rest all. The applications are working. Fine without any crashes or starters till now, but there is some issue with the notifications and just like on the open beta 3. They are quite delayed and this issue is really bothering everyone, but there is a temporary fix for this issue. As i said previously, just long press on any app that has issues with notifications now just click on the app info and after that just go down to the battery tab and here choose do not optimize option and you will be good to go now. You will get notifications timely and you can do the same for applications like insta and whatsapp, and that should fix it all for you as of now, but i hope it gets taken care of with an update as it can get really annoying for some after that. Well, some of you are facing another issue where this google play system update is asking to reboot again and again, and it just doesn’t work, fine, even after updating and though clicking on that reboot now button works for some it didn’t work.
For me, though, and i tried it several times and you can try clearing the data of play services at maximum, so this is another issue with this update now coming to the battery backup. Well, the battery backup has been fine for me and it is somewhat better than the open beta 3.. So i could manage around 7 hours of screen on time with my standard usage, and i even tried out some games during this time and the device did not disappoint, though there is always scope of improvement and let’s see how it goes. So even the standby drain is quite all right, as on the day one of my testing, it was around seven percent or so, and then it reduced to three percent a day later so now i am satisfied with that. Overall, the charging time is also around 1 hour for me, which is fine and similar to what was there earlier. And yes, there are no issues with apps like google and it used to give network an offline error, but not anymore and similar is the case for free fire. It used to be quite bad with a lot of network issues on mobile data and in my time with it till now, i got no issues and the game ran just fine, and some of you have been complaining about it since a long time now. So that has been fixed too, and the gaming in general has been fine for me, though, some people are facing lags with pubg and due to its unofficial nature, i simply didn’t try it out, though other games like cod, ran just fine and there was no heat Up as such, after that, we have the infamous bluetooth issue with 2.
4 gigahertz wi fi, and that one is also there even now, but it has seen a lot of improvement and better stability over the past few versions, and maybe it can be improved even more. Who knows so let’s see how it goes coming to the camera part now, and here i have one complaint that is with this new gallery app and it feels kind of slow and many a times just won’t display the latest images, which is something really irritating, and Many of you don’t, like it either rest well. The back camera is fine for the most part and takes some good quality shots given ample light, but i did face some occasional focus. Hunting with it and i’ll keep an eye on that issue, more the macro and ultra wide angle. Camera are, as is, and you can see how they do in the samples on your screen. One thing i like with the camera in this version is the exposure with the images taken from the front facing camera, and they are somewhat better and detailed. If i compare it with the past version, which was one of my main issues with this device and the improvement can be seen in images for sure also here is a video sample from the rear facing camera shot at 1080p 60fps, and you guys be the judge About the quality it offers now, one thing i would like to highlight with this oxyanos 11 is well the google camera mod doesn’t support, auxiliary cameras.
Now that means you cannot use a gcam mod for ultra wide and macro cameras, and while this is something we don’t expect from the brand, i hope they want close sources like these, as gcam really helps a lot in taking great photos, but you can still use A gcam mod for the primary front facing and back camera. Lastly, coming to the smaller features, so the horizon light feature is working fine and you just have to choose the color you wish to see and it will start working whenever you get a notification, though there is no toggle to disable it, which is a bit weird. Also, if you are facing call drops, then just turn off the voice over wi fi from sim card settings, and that will do the job for you. The fingerprint scanner is also quite responsive and works. Just fine plus, if you feel some lag while scrolling in the youtube application well, that is because it runs only at 60hz and you can use this video to force it to 90hz and the process is quite easy. So here is a card to that rest. You can use the oneplus dialer and sms application too, with this version and the auto call recording option is also there, but it is region specific. So if it doesn’t show up well blame your government policies just kidding. Also, the sms application has some issues like random notification ringtone after swiping, and this ai sms feature just won’t work, so disable it in settings that is turn of the smart sms recognition feature now.
To sum it all up. Well, if you literally skipped the video for this too bad, you missed out on many important things. Ok, should you update your device to this version? Well, yeah sure i mean, apart from the notification issue, which is also solvable mostly there isn’t, something big that will cause trouble for you, and i find it quite good and stable for the most part, with some much required features and improvements, and even though i am Not totally in for this new design, i appreciate the features that it brings from aod to the camera improvements and it feels like a breath of fresh air for now, at least more or less. Hopefully, the experience will improve even further with updates and everyone will have a better experience and that’s it for now. If you have made till the end of this, video, do give it a like and share it with your friends. That would really help me out.
