Personally, guys i’ve been using this phone for well over two weeks and while i’ve been focused on the redmi k40 pro for the past couple videos, i wanted to look back at this device and share my traditional one week. Review and faq video with you guys and to be honest guys, this phone has been a revelation here on the channel, just an incredible piece of technology that, for the price, i think, has just changed the game when it comes to what you expect in a mid Range phone from the gorgeous design to the 120 hertz amoled display rock solid snapdragon 732g performance, a 5020 milliampere battery with 33 watt, fast charging, incredible dual speakers for the price and a camera and 108 megapixels. The first time on a note series phone, this phone. I consider almost like a reset of the entire mid range market and i think a lot of other oems are now scrambling to figure out. How do they address this redmi note 10 pro, which is offering by far the best value of any phone in its price? Point to date, so we’re just gon na go through a handful of questions and thanks for all of your comments and support on these videos and let’s jump into question number one frankie tech. This seems almost like the perfect device, but is there something you can share that you’re? Not a fan of on this redmi note 10 pro and yes, no joke guys.
I was definitely gushing about this phone because i realized what an amazing value proposition. It is, and there’s very little to fault about this device, but as it relates to this particular unit, i do have one nitpick and as much as i do love this onyx gray, it’s, a beautiful color. This back is a fingerprint magnet, and this is the type of device that you definitely want to keep a chamois handy for, because let me tell you once i take it out of the case. This thing gets dirty and it gets dirty real fast. Now, of course, the onyx gray is the most subdued color, but i will tell you i really do wish i’d been able to check out that gradient orange variant and another big reason is because the orange variant is a matte gorilla, glass, 5 back, and i truly Think that’s a big deal when it comes to this type of a device that is probably my biggest nitpick of using this device. That being said, though, it is still really great build quality on this phone and i would not worry about the design or build quality of this phone. This is gon na last a long long time. The next big question i noticed a lot of you were asking – was frankie tech. Is this truly the same amoled display as on the redmi k40 series and once again, instead of just saying? Yes, it is here’s the k40 pro itself and let me tell you guys: i’ve spent the better part of a week looking at these two displays, and i do not notice a difference whatsoever and have a look yourself.
I really cannot tell any difference between these two displays. Now i would say, if you really look at the white point, you might see a slight difference, but let me tell you in terms of viewing angles: i do not notice a difference whatsoever and we have the exact same chin size at the bottom and exactly the Same punch hole at the top honestly guys if there is any difference between these displays, i don’t see it, and that is why i tell you this redmi note. 10. Pro is an incredible device for having the same display of a much more expensive device in this redmi k40 pro. But then this segues to the next question, frankie tech is the silver ring there. You see it around the punch hole a deal breaker now personally. For me, it is not a deal breaker, and i explained this in my other video that i think they put that in there. So when you’re taking photos, especially in the dark, you can still see where the punch hole is, and it can help basically place your eyes in the correct spot when you’re taking a selfie or doing any front camera video. You know. I think this is just one of those things you’re gon na have to look at for yourself to me. It’S not a deal breaker and i really don’t think it should be for you. But if you really are concerned, maybe you should wait until you see this phone in the store and then decide for yourself if the silver ring around the punch hole is truly a deal breaker and the next question concerns the front camera i’ve seen in some other Reviews that the front camera is capable of eis with video is that the case – and i just did a sample to double check – have a look just a quick test of the eis on the front camera and you can definitely tell it’s there, and so yes, you Definitely do have eis on the front camera, but one thing you don’t have guys you can see it.
There is 1080p 60fps you’ll have to step it up to a redmi, k40 pro or xiaomi mi 11 to get 1080p 60fps front, video, recording and seguing to the next question. Frankie tech is lack of 4k eis, a deal breaker for this phone in my camera comparison yesterday with the redmi k40 pro. You definitely noticed that the footage from this device was a lot more jittery, and so yes, if you want to be recording eis, enabled 4k video. This is not the phone for you. You’Ll need to step it up to a k40 pro or a xiaomi, mi 11. To get that capability, but here’s the point guys you can expect everything at every price point and in the case of this redmi note 10 pro. This is just something that you won’t get, but on the plus side, 1080p 30 video recording is eis stabilized and it looks really good. So yes, perhaps it’s a deal breaker for some of you out there, but i still think it offers really quality video even at full hd. And if you need that stabilization that’s, what you’ll be recording at and the next question frankie tech. Does the redmi note 10. Pro support dc dimming. Well, unfortunately, i will tell you that is the one negative in terms of the display of this phone there’s no dc dimming available on the redmi note, 10 pro and dc dimming basically reduces those lines that you notice when you’re recording video.
This phone does not have that, but from what i’ve seen the redmi k40 pro also does not have that available. You’Ll need to set it up to the xiaomi mi 11 to get dc dimming on the display. But that being said, you do have some other modes available like reading mode, which you can see you can adjust to classic and we’ll go ahead and kind of put this warm tone on the display i’m gon na go ahead and turn that off right now and Sunlight mode is also available on this redmi note: 10 pro and that’s, basically going to adjust brightness to strong ambient light when automatic brightness is turned off. So you want to use this if you’re out and about and it works really well and another question. Frankie tech have you received any software updates to this redmi note 10 pro well funny enough. I just received an update this morning and let’s have a look together. What it is looks like it’s miui version 12.0.3, and this should provide increased system. Stability and reduced system lag as well, so i’m gon na go ahead and apply this update once i’m done with this video. But as you see this redmi note 10 pro even a week after launch is already receiving software updates for miui 12. and then another question concerning the display and the notification led. Is there one on this phone? There is not, but on the plus side, because this is an amoled display – you now get always on display for the first time ever on a redmi note, series device and let’s go ahead and turn that on and let’s use, this keep calm.
Carry on let’s apply that there we go now. We turn it off there. It is the always on display on the redmi note 10 pro, and i know for a lot of you. The notification led is a big deal, but for me, i’ve gotten so used to not having notification leds, especially at night guys. Those things are a real nuisance, i’m, so glad that they’ve switched now to using this always on display, and now this just feels so much more like a flagship device, because it has this feature and the last question about this redmi note. 10 pro i want to address frankie tech i’m sold. I want to buy this device. What is the best way to purchase this device and are there any specials or any deals that i can get on this phone at this time? Well from what i understand, the aliexpress early bird special is done. So if you didn’t act fast already, you’re gon na have to pay a little bit more now for this phone and the 249 us dollar special. But that being said i’m sure we will see this phone at discounts in the future. But let me tell you guys at 279 dollars, i don’t think you’re gon na get a better device on the market for a while than this redmi note. 10 pro now, of course. Yes, if you’re a power user, this phone is not going to cut it and you’re waiting for something with a little more power, maybe with 5g capability.
That will be the right option for you but i’m going to stick to what i said yesterday, and i truly believe that for 95 of users out there, this redmi note 10. Pro is the absolutely best option for you to consider. You know when the poco x3 nfc came out. A lot of you guys said this is an amazing device and this redmi note 10 pro is practically the same device only with a 120hz amoled display in its place, and it is, in my opinion, the best option for you to consider in a mid range phone. So far this year, but hit me up in the comments, have you picked up a redmi note 10 pro or is there another device that you’re waiting for instead of this? One hit me up in the comments i’d love to hear about it and that’s it? For this video, if you liked it, give me that thumbs up and if you love the content of frankie tech subscribe to the channel hit, the bell icon for future updates stay tuned guys.
