OnePlus 9 Pro Unboxing & Review | WHAT!!

We have both phones now in this video i’m, going to be focusing on the flagship oneplus 9 pro. But if you check out the pinned comment below i’ve also dropped my oneplus 9 standard video as well. What more could you ask for, and now we focus on the bad boy, media kit, and on this side we have the wording hasselblad, and that is of course, because oneplus have gone into a partnership with hasselblad for the oneplus 9 series and they are a swedish Camera and lens manufacturer we’re expecting big things, but can it deliver whoa? That is pretty cool? We have this massive picture of the moon landing because, of course, hasselblad were the creators of the camera which first photographed the moon on the moon, landing so yeah quite a claim to fame. We have the oneplus 9 5g and the oneplus 9 pro 5g. So take that one there oneplus 9 series your best shot. We also have the oneplus warp charge 50 wireless charger which charges your oneplus 9 pro from naught to 100 in just 43 minutes, so it takes a little bit longer than the cable charging, but still wireless charging full phone battery in 43 minutes is really pretty impressive. Indeed, also a couple of cases kind of sandstone finish that one plus a fame for in black, and we also have one that they’re famed for and that is carbon fiber big fan of carbon fiber.

Personally, myself enough of the accessories let’s check the phone out, shall we, like, i said, oneplus 9 video in the pin comments. Let’S focus first on the unboxing of this bad boy. So if you were to pick this phone up, this would be the retail box that you would get oneplus 9 pro 5g co developed with hasselblad and then on the back. As you can see, this is one of the variants. There are a few, so this variant has 12 gigabytes of ram and 256 gigabytes of storage and it’s in the morning. Mist color, the oneplus 9 pro is also available in stella black and pine green, which is my possible personal favorite looks very very nice, similar to the midnight green on the old iphones inside. You have your phone of course right there, which we will come back to also we have our manuals and then, when you lift the next section, we have of course another case. This would be more the case, uh that you guys will be getting if you buy the retail unit and it’s, just your classic kind of silicon gray, it’s, okay, it’ll do the job you may want to get a harder. One, for example, sounds a bit weird uh. Then we have the charging cable and the charger. I think the european prongs here and that’s the reason why oneplus sent over also the uk plug for me there, this 65 watt warp charger and it apparently charges the oneplus 9 pro from naught to 100.

In just 29 minutes – and that is pretty incredible – and the charging cable which will fit in this is usb type c to type c. That is everything you get in the box. No headphones, no adapters, but you do get a charger. So, in this day and age, many will think that is a positive. Is there anyone out there that doesn’t want to charge you in their new phone? You, let me know in the comments right so let’s, just peel this off and, as you can see, this is the morning. Mist, color and you’ve got a sort of gradient finish to it and uh i quite like it. Obviously this will pick up dirt and fingerprints. More um, but it also looks really nice and premium so type c charging port there speaker grill there and of course you have your sim port there as well. On this side we have our volume rocker and then on the opposite side. You have the power button and you have your famous oneplus alert slider, so you can go from loud to vibrate to silent. I really do like the alert slider on the oneplus phones. I don’t know why more companies don’t do that. I know you can do it in software. I like just be able to go bing bing done or just bing, just not bing bing, so we’ve got a quad hd plus resolution. We’Ve got a 120 hertz refresh rate and it has an adaptive refresh rate, so it doesn’t have to stay at 120 hertz, so it’s, not refreshing, 120 times per second all the time it can lower that right down.

If, indeed, you are doing something that isn’t that intensive, if you’re, looking at a photo, for example, it’s stationary, you don’t need that high refresh rate and it can drop as low as just one hertz. If need be, oneplus call it the fluid display 2.0 and the adaptive refresh rate technology is called ltpo. It can apparently cut battery consumption by up to 50 in certain situations, a max brightness of 1300 nits and 6.7 inches in size. So, while we’re here, let’s smash out the rest of the specs qualcomm, snapdragon 888 ufs, 3.1 storage, ip68 rating, dual stereo speakers and a 4500 mah battery cell – and this is the area that i want to elaborate on a little bit because there’s a decision to be Made here for you on paper up against a fair few of its competitors in this flagship area of the market, this battery cell size seems like a little bit of a compromise compared to the likes of the galaxy s21 ultra, for example, which has a 5000 mah Battery cell some 500 mah larger, but if you look closer it’s, not quite that simple for the 500 mah that you lose, you actually gain in aesthetics and the feeling in the hand and usability like the s21 ultra is a bulky phone. It feels pretty heavy, whereas the oneplus 9 pro just feels almost graceful in comparison. It actually believe it or not reminds me of the samsung s10 plus.

So if you like that phone with the 2d curved display and the kind of flat and thin feel to it, it feels really nice in the hand. So you have to decide. Do you want the largest possible battery in this area of the market, or do you want to go with something that that is a decent battery cell size, but has that sort of sleeker design to it as well? Oneplus on this fairly thin phone, i’ve also managed to create a camera array with only a very small bump as well, which is of course nice to see. But part of that is due to a feature that they’ve kind of compromised on or almost left out more on that in a second. So what do we have here? Well, the primary sensor is a custom built 48 megapixel, sony, imx 789 and it promises 64 times more color information and faster, focusing speeds for less motion blur which personally i’m very excited to test out, because, if you’re a long term follower of the channel, you all Know one of my pet peeves with smartphone cameras is the lack of fast, focusing and motion blur when it comes to portrait, shots, etc. Basically, any phone outside of the pixel line hasn’t really delivered. Hopefully this goes some way to improving that you also have a sony. Imx 766 ultra wide sensor, which is what’s known as a freeform lens, and it apparently corrects incoming light to reduce the distortion that is present in many ultra wide phone shots down to just one percent.

You can also use this lens to capture macro shots from just about four centimeters away. If that’s your thing now, zoom is definitely an area that oneplus have compromised on apparently from feedback they’ve received. Many of you, oneplus fans, are not massively interested in zoom or the levels of what’s important. It doesn’t feature that highly. Let me know in the comments whether you think that’s the case or not, but what it does mean is that we have an 8 megapixel telephoto lens that has a max optical zoom of just 3.3 times. It does have digital zoom up to 30 times, but in terms of the clarity of image with zoomed shots, it simply won’t be able to compete with the best from samsung, huawei, etc, not terrible, acceptable better than the iphone, but on an android side, it’s, not industry, Leading for sure, on the flip side, another positive of that is again we can have a smaller sleeker, thinner, camera bump. So again, what’s important to you, 8k video is available at 30 frames, a second and 4k up to 120 frames per second, which is awesome for high speed, high action scenes and if you want to play around with slow mo after the event in edit, there is Also, ultra wide angle, time lapse, capabilities and portrait video to name a couple more. So what how and where do hasselblad feature in terms of software? Well to start there is a hasselblad pro mode and it provides pro level controls and allows you to shoot in 12.

Bit raw new color calibration for more natural and accurate shots, there is a refresh to areas of the camera app interface, to give a hassle, bad, look and feel, and there is an orange shutter button and a special hasselblad camera shutter sound check this. You may be impressed, you may think whatever i quite like it, but i can’t necessarily say it’s a huge selling point for me personally, but you might the name’s bond james bond, so bad and the world will never know. Apart from you, guys, watching and now on to software as a whole oxygen os 11, which is very close to a stock android feel with a few nice tweaks to aid a really fast and smooth experience. There’S a new turbo boost 3.0 feature which revolves around memory. Optimization allowing you to keep 25 more apps open in the background at any one time. It achieves this by combining two technologies: virtual ram, where your phone turns storage into ram, so you physically have more to use and ram compression where the data on the ram is actually made smaller and, of course, there are tons more optimization and customization options, including one Which oneplus were very keen to showcase, and that is the fact that on there always on display clock, you can now get a second hand on the analog clock so um moving on so i’m now gon na go away i’m gon na play with this phone and I’M gon na drop another video when you’re watching this it’ll be tomorrow, letting you know my full thoughts after a week or so use great.

First impressions, absolutely love the look of this bad boy.
