If you need an occasional solution, I recommend it. If you want something reliable, spend some more money, and buy another one.
They do exactely as they should, charge and/or transfer data. Perfect to turn that two meter micto-usb cable you baught for 10$ into a usb-C one. Apart of that, using adapters like these not only saves you money, but is good for the Environment too ๐
