This is where we have the samsung galaxy a52, so both devices was launched not too long ago and they come in at a slightly different price range. So again, here in malaysia, this mi 11 light here is going for 1200 ringgit and the a52 here is slightly more expensive at 1 500 ringgit. So there is a difference of 300 ringgit and the difference in regions for the pricing. You can see it down below all right, so bear in mind that the mi 11 light here comes in only one spec, the 8 plus 128 gb, whereas the a52 here is actually another spec, which is 8 plus 256 gb. So, although there is 300 ringgit in between both devices right here, but the a52 do have a double the storage. So again, it is very similar again in terms to pricing, because you get a little bit more but more on that later. In this video i’m going to tell you everything you need to know in depth about both devices right here and which device should you go with assuming you’re thinking of buying one of these devices right here, all right, let’s just start off with the video right away. Let’S check out, first and foremost, the design language of both devices, so the mi 11 lite. As you can see here, it is very reflective on the back here. Obviously, there are other different colors out there, but mine is a black version and it looks like a mirror right here.
You can literally see me right there in terms of the camera bump. It is very, very slim as well notice that this device is really positioned. As a slim device and a lightweight device, so that’s how the design looks like moving on to the galaxy a52, this is a slightly thicker device. It is actually about 1.5 millimeters thicker, something like that, but it is definitely thicker, as you can see right here. So the design wise, obviously it also comes in different colors, but mine – is this blue version right here? If you like this kind of camera cut out, then this is your kind of thing. Obviously, in terms of the back design, i actually kind of like the matte back compared to the glass one right here, because this collects a lot of fingerprints but it’s worth noting that this is actually a plastic kind of back cover where it actually moves a little Bit when you press against it, whereas this mi 11 light here is a solid uh glass or something like that, if i’m not mistaken, all right, so in terms of design, this is how it looks like when you move to the front. This is where it gets. A little bit interesting because we both have a notches at the top here, but bear in mind that if you just take a very close look, you’ll notice that the notch the tiny camera punch hole here on the mi 11 light is slightly larger than the one.
On the galaxy a52 so yeah, this is something that i would like to point out in terms of the bezels all around it’s, very nice, to say that the mini 11 light right here has actually kept everything looking pretty symmetrical in terms of the top and bottom Bezel right here, as well as the left and right, whereas on the a52 right here, you do have slightly thicker bezels on both top and bottom so yeah. This is pretty much what it would look like in terms of design personally i’m, really a huge fan of the mi 11 light, because it’s just so much slimmer and so much better to hold in hand, whereas the a52 here is slightly chunky uh. In my opinion, it’s a bit heavy as well definitely much heavier than the me11 light right there uh but yeah. If you prefer the chunky kind of device, the a52 is your one to choose, but for me, i’m, going with the slightly more compact and very slim, mi 11 light right here. All right next thing, let’s talk about here is the fingerprint scanner, so the mi 11 lite has the fingerprint scanner on the right here. So it is actually very fast. Let’S, take a look at that it’s, literally just one second and less than one second actually, and it unlocks very quickly. So the a52 here is a slightly different story, because it has an in display fingerprint scanner, but it is not as fast as the uh.
The one on the mi 11 like so let me just show it to you again: there we go so it is slightly slower than the mi 11 like right here, but again it depends on which one you prefer. Personally, i think, in terms of accuracy, the one on the mi 11 light here being a physical fingerprint scanner is just way more accurate compared to the one on the a52, which sometimes misses out on my fingerprint and it’s, not as quick so for the fastest and Most accurate kind of figure print scanner euro one to go with the one on the mi 11 lite all right. Now that we’ve got that out of the way. Let’S talk a little bit more about the displays at the front, and this is where we have again very similar displays here. The mi 11 light has a slightly larger display at 6.55 inches compared to the 6.5 on the galaxy a52, but they’re. Both 1080p amoled displays that run at 90hz. So they’re, both amazing to look at the colors are awesome. I mean the viewing angles are also very very good, so there is nothing much to complain about here if you’re getting either one of these devices just bear in mind that the displays on both devices here are really excellent. Apart from that, the next thing i want to talk about here is actually the ui just very quickly before i go into the day to day performance.
So i know a lot of people are always saying that xiaomi devices comes with a lot of bloat uh applications installed like agoda, amazon and and so on, but it’s just worth noting that the bloat amount on this xiaomi mi 11 lite is not as much as The a52, so i was kind of surprised when i got my a52 and i’ve actually put all the bloat into one folder right here. We have so many samsung apps that we actually don’t really use right here. Maybe you you might actually use it, but to me, in my opinion, i prefer the most uh we don’t need that many applications here. We also have a couple of microsoft: apps installed so there’s, quite a lot of bloatware, also in the the samsung a52 right here. So, just in case you’re wondering about that, both devices do come with some bloatware, but you can of course, uninstall them very easily. All right now, let’s talk a little bit about that performance, so both devices here actually uses the snapdragon 700 series processor, which is a pretty decent, mid range processor. It is able to run things on the daily very smoothly in terms of applications and like your social media and gaming, it’s all able to run very smoothly. Obviously, on games you won’t be able to run the most highest settings there. So please bear that in mind. If you’re playing games like mobile legends and pub g, definitely you will be able to get some decent frame rates.
Both devices also do not heat up if you play quite a lot of games, but of course, if you’re trying to play games like jenshin impact, which has a really high graphics settings, then it will struggle a little bit all right. So in terms of benchmark scores, i actually did the benchmark scores here. Let me just show it to you very quickly in terms of benchmark scores alone. I did notice that the mi 11 lite did have a slight advantage. Let’S just go into this course right here. So if you take a look at the scores right here in terms of single score and multi core score, the mi 11 lite actually beat the galaxy a52. So this is about five to ten percent, more powerful compared to the a52. And, of course, i also did the uh while the 3d mark test right here and the results is the same. Let me just find that app again once more. So if you just go into the overall score here, you have 240 2749, whereas is 2500 plus on the a52, so again about another five percent kind of increase in terms of just statistics, numbers and all that, but bear in mind that both devices here actually perform Very similarly uh to one another all right, so since we’re talking a little bit about user experience as well, i just want to bring up the haptic engine for a bit here, so i must applaud again the mi 11 lite for having the better haptic engine here.
Uh, what i mean by that is the vibrations on this device. Here you can be felt throughout the operating system and they’re the kind that are short and sharp. So you actually feel it very subtly, but it is a very nice feeling that you can get on the mi 11 light. So on the other hand, the samsung galaxy a52 here has the kind of vibration that is the slow and like uh it’s. Just not very it doesn’t give you the sense that it’s very responsive, so i don’t really uh like the haptic engine on the galaxy a52. This is the kind of haptics that you see on older devices, whereas on the mi 11 light, like i said, is short and sharp, so the haptics wise, if you’re very particular, about the haptics, you will want to check out the me11 light for that all right. Now let’s move on into the camera, so we both have a very different set of cameras here. Obviously, we have extra one sensor on the a52 and just three sensors on the mi 11 light. So, on the mi 11 light both of these devices have 64 megapixel main sensors, but when it comes to ultra white uh, the me11 light actually has only eight megapixels, whereas the galaxy a52 has 12 megapixels. For that. Last but not least, the mi 11 light has a five megapixel macro lens uh, whereas on the uh a52, it also has a five megapixel micro lens, combined with a five megapixel depth sensor, all right all right.
Those are a lot of numbers right there and you can see the stats i’ll put it on this screen right here, but just in terms of image quality, which is the better image. Let me just reset that very quickly. It is just jumping into my games. All of a sudden let’s clear all that oops okay, clear, all and clear all all right, so just in terms of image, quality, i’ve taken quite a lot of photos right here and yes, let me show you guys how they look like so in terms of daylight, Shots, i must note that the pictures on the me11 light was a bit more saturated compared to the ones on the galaxy a52. The galaxy a52 images looks a bit more natural, but if you prefer, the kind of stylized photos or the me11 light has more of that in the device itself. So in terms of actual skin tones and all that, i also noticed that the galaxy a52 showed a more accurate kind of image, whereas the me11 light actually gave images. That is a bit uh beautified on your skin tones and all that. So again, it depends on you if you prefer the kind of more natural kind of look. You should go with the a52, but if you prefer something that is more saturated, something that is a bit more stylized uh. The mi 11 light is where you should go. All right in terms of the night images again, they are very different here, so uh this time.
I felt that the nine images on the mi 11 light was slightly better yeah. So if you take a look at these photos here, i think the saturation levels, the slightly boost in saturation levels on the mi 11 light here, looks a little bit better. If you take a look at these twin towers right here, it looks a bit nicer compared to the a52, but there are also certain instances where the a52 knight mode looks a little bit better than the me11 light. So again, these are very different kinds of cameras. Right here – and it depends what kind of camera kind of images that you prefer me personally, i feel that it is a tie here, because at certain times the mi 11 light outperformed, the uh galaxy a52 and other times the a52 outperformed, the mi 11 lights yeah. So in terms of performance, i would say i would have to give it a tie for the cameras all right now. Let’S talk about the last thing. The batteries in these devices right here, so the mi 11 light being a little bit. Slimmer, here comes with a slightly smaller battery. It comes with a 4 250 milliamp hour battery, whereas on the a52, this is running a 4 500 milliamp hour battery, but bear in mind that these are the battery sizes if you do run low on juice. This is where you can actually check out the chargers that came in the box and the me11 light here.
Xiaomi is very kind to provide us with a 33 watt charger, whereas on the a52 it is only a 15 watt charger. So this is still a pretty slow break right here in today’s standards. Uh the phone itself supports 25 watt fast charge, but we only get a 15 watt charger in the box. So yeah, i guess, that’s what it is, but for the mi 11 light we do have a 33 watt charger in the box all right. Last but not least, just a quick one. Let’S let’s talk about the headphone jack, so it is present on the a52, whereas it is missing on the mi 11 light and in terms of stereo speakers. Both devices have awesome stereo speakers, but it is a little bit different in terms of the audio quality for the mi 11 light right here. The sound is actually more richer and it goes a little bit louder. So if you like, a lot of like really strong music coming at you, the mi 11 light is the one that you should go, but if you prefer music, that is a bit more crisper, the mids and highs are a bit uh separated. So you can hear very clearer audio, then you should go with the a52 right here. So again, both devices has its own strengths and it really is up to what you’re looking for in your device all right guys. I think this video has been fairly long, but this is what it is with the a52 and the mi 11 lite.
So, at the end of the day, which should you actually go with, i would say that it is very clear here uh if you’re, really looking for something that is compact, slim has an awesome display a decent set of cameras and uh. I think it’s really due to that slim form factor then, and the premium feeling as well. Then you should definitely go with the mi 11 light and save a couple of bucks. But if you have the extra budget – and you need that additional storage – the 256 gigabyte of storage here – and you don’t mind this – actually a slightly thicker body right here – then you can actually check out the a52 as well. But everything that i said earlier still counts check it out yourself and let me know which one you think is the better buy right here. I think that’s it for this video. Thank you guys for staying until the end.
