This is jd your gadget review friend today, i’m doing a fun experiment. I thought of something entertaining and different. I wanted to see how far a 100 phone can go compared to a 2 000 professional camera. I know what you’re all thinking this is not fair, but for the sake of great entertainment and informative content, let’s see if a budget phone today can somehow be as good or comparable to a professional camera. What images can you get out of it if you like this type of content and want to see more unique videos like this? Please subscribe to our channel because we think outside the box and we’re, making more creative tech reviews for you, we’re uploading daily. So a 100 phone versus a professional camera. Let the battle begin, who will win let’s find out on our first shot? Is a portrait shot of my wife, but not really because she wanted to flex our monstery and wedding ring. Sure let’s see the image from the professional camera perfect skin tone, natural colors and the subject. Separation is spot on it’s what you expect from a two thousand dollar camera while on the budget phone by the way we’re using the umidigi a7 pro for this test, the colors are saturated and the image is bitingly sharp, hey, i will admit i was drawn more On the budget phone, because it is lively and colorful it’s a good shot for 100 dollars man. These phones today are super good.
Next image is my slippers and our outdoor plants that just died from winter. I cannot see anything wrong with the images from the professional camera. It gave us the natural color of the scene while on the budget phone it has a warmer tone siding to red. But if i post this on social media, will you think that the image from the left came from a more expensive device? I honestly will maybe, on the first look, it’s an instagram ready photo on our next photo. I took a shot of our wall clock. I have no issue with both photos. The budget phone produces a flat but cleaner image, while the professional camera has more or deeper dynamic range. It produces a dramatic scene out of a wall clock. It is also sharper i’ll take any of these photos, but i love the shot that came from the professional camera more okay. So this is where the 1900 difference will take effect. Do you see the subject separation from the center piece to the background, and do you see how colorful and lighter the image is from the professional camera? I think what i’m beginning to learn together with you guys is professional camera will give you consistency on almost all situations. It will give you a confident photos all the time while the budget phone is a hit or miss. But honestly, the image on the budget phone is not so bad. Okay on our next photo, usually phone wins on this category.
If i use my pixel phone or iphone night shots or photo stacking is where camera phones shine not on this budget phone, though the image on the left is unusable, and this photo looks like an image from a crime scene, it’s horrendous. I think if you will be able to install a pixel camera app on a budget phone, this might turn out differently on our next shot. I wanted to see how good the foreground and background separation is, and the professional camera having the bigger sensor and faster lens. It was able to provide a shallower depth of field while the phone tried to emulate an slr shot by manipulating the image it was so confused with the scene and for our last image comparison, you will see the night and day difference of a professional camera to A budget phone again for phone, it was just a straight up image without any depth of field, while the professional camera can turn a regular scene to something spectacular, it is more artistic and professional. Looking thanks to its dynamic range and depth of field. Well on this video recording test, i was glad that the phone is a little better in terms of stabilization and autofocus. I know that the camera can produce really great videos for professional use, but just using it for auto mode. A budget phone is easier to use and actually is doing a better job. So our takeaway from this experiment is a budget phone today is still miles away to a professional camera setup, but the images it produces, though lower in quality, is not bad at all.
The images you will get from a 100 phone is honestly usable and sometimes incredible. If you just want to share an experience, good place, better food and great friends, a 100 phone can provide that now it will produce a straight up, decent shots. It cannot promise good photos on extreme conditions, but if you capture this on a sunny morning or afternoon, you can share great memories. If you only have 100 dollars to spare, i think what’s more important. Is you keep shooting to get more memories rather than comparing what device you have your phone will work just be mindful of its limitation.
