Now they have something over the product to check out and it’s a microphone with a tripod with a light as well, but obviously vlogging gear can get quite expensive, especially if you’re going to be using something like a lumix g7 with a rode microphone or even the Canon m50 now, obviously, these cameras here, the bodies, the lenses and the microphone are mega expensive, especially if you’re just a starter, and you want to get done quickly. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to set up and we’re going to do some tests. First of all, i think i’m going to put the cameras outside with the car and then see what it sounds like we’ll do inside the car and then we’ll go ahead and do the forest that’s behind me and then we’ll go back to the studio check out The equipment itself and then we go from there: Music, Music, Music, Music, hmm Music. So obviously you heard the car outside now the sound of the microphone picked up really well. This is the ucm 11pl by uhuru and yeah it’s, actually a pretty nice little kit. If, if i turn my camera around, as you can see, it’s very condensed and yeah there’s a light that comes with it as well, but if we just focus on me of the ucm 11pl and um yeah, it picks up the sound really really well. So i just startled a rat, i think so, but Music picking up all the sounds of everything around.
It sounds really nice, it’s really clear now. Obviously, the reason i did the car was because i wanted to see outside and inside the car to see if it started clipping and i don’t think it really did maybe the odds one or two different angles: there’s, also an adapter that you will need to get For the utm11pl now that is an audio adapter for something like an iphone. They do send you through a 3.5 millimeter jack, obviously to plug it straight in, but with my iphone i have the lightning bolt connection so i’m, not going to have that audio jack, but yeah i’m going to really enjoy this. So what we’re going to do is we’re going to go back to the studio i’m going to show you everything that you get in the box and you do get a little light. So we’ll show you that as well, so the contents of the uhuru ucm11pl does contain everything inside this box that you’re going to need for vlogging. First up is a customer services card, so happy and sad face. If you do go ahead and buy this product hit them up and let them know what you think about it once you’ve purchased it. You also get obviously a little guide to the light and you get your manual it’s, pretty self explanatory, really on setting it up. Now here’s the tripod that they do supply with the kit it’s. Quite nice it’s got a couple of different uh features, so that is full open.
Then you just twist the top here and you can actually have it a bit more of a height and it’s brilliant. Together can vlog it’s, absolutely fantastic and then the ball on top actually does screw off. So this is just a standard, go and shoot and then obviously, if you want different angles, then you’ve got the adjustable mount on the top and that all comes as one moving on next. You do get the microphone. So the microphone is a small shotgun microphone with a windshield, it doesn’t have any batteries and you can adjust it for where you want. To put it so you’ve got the shock, mount condensed microphone windshield and it is batteryless which is fantastic. It works off the adapter or of your android or your smartphone, and obviously the cold shoe mount. Therefore, attaching it to the top of the light which is here so it just pops on. Do it up? Stick it on top of your camera and you’re good to go. The light itself is actually quite good. So on the back, you’ve got two double a batteries and here is an adjuster, so you can adjust the brightness of the light itself and if you hold it in turn it off so let’s turn it back on hold it in and you can actually change it. So you’ve got more av, warm glow, you’ve got the white glow and you can go for it all now it does have an rgb mode.
So if i do that there is the flashing, knights and that’s red, do it again, and you can now see that it is actually changing color, and this is the rgb mode on the back. So yeah that’s, quite nice. If you want to shoot something a little bit different, i have got another light that i will put in the link down below and i’ll show you that in a minute that is a little bit easier to use and you can actually set the color tone that You really want, but yeah that’s the light there’s the microphone and it’s all pretty much straightforward, and then you do get your 3.5 millimeter jack, which is again quite stretchy. If you do have a like a smartphone, then obviously i will put in a link down below the adapter that i was using to fit this up with the iphone 12 and then you’ve got the carrier for your iphone or smartphone um android. Whatever it is. You may be using and it’s adjustable there now. You have got the quarter inch screw on the back and on the bottom of it again on the top cold shoe mount, so you can literally just hook everything up and it goes on the front put it all together and you’re good to go. So this is what the whole kit looks like all set up now i have got a phone here which i will just for the tents and purposes of this video put it in so there you go there’s your phone on the tripod there’s, your light, there’s, your Microphone so after the cable, you do get a trs adapter.
Now the trs adapter is for cameras. Now this is perfect. It just slots straight into the side of the camera. You plug that cable in and plug it straight into the back of the microphone. Now all one well, it is absolutely fantastic, especially for the price of this kit, especially if you want to start vlogging and you are doing it on a budget now. Obviously, if you have got a camera and you can stretch to something for like 80 90 pounds, you can pick up the rogue shotgun mic that i was using on the lumix g7, but yeah overall, a really really nice little kit. So the other light i was on about was this one. Now this is the ulanzi light and it’s actually a really really nice little light and it’s the vl 49 rgb and it’s two thousand milliamp hour battery again it’s got the cold shoe mount on the bottom. So again, you could attach it to the tripod and use this on the go, but on the back you have got a button here to turn it on and then you’ve got your arrows. This way and you’ve got a little switch. So, for instance, if you hold that switch down, you can turn it to a 9900k white light and that is actually quite bright. And then, if you just click the button again and go over, you can adjust the percentage up and down of how light you actually do want the light to go um again, you can go all the way down and it comes up to something of that sort Of nature now that’s quite low and that’s what seven percent, but if you hold it down again, you can actually then go to the color variant of these lights and now that’s, again quite bright, as you can see in purple, which obviously goes with the build that I currently got and does illuminate everything quite well so i’m, going to use the tripod here to the tripod here to illuminate everything again just by tapping this arrow here you can actually change the color of the light.
So if i put it away from the camera a bit more, as you can see, the light is changing and this is an rgb light. Now again, the link for this will be in the description down below and they’re, not actually that expensive, but again, i’ll tell you that in the end of this video, but there you go yeah the light is really really nice. It adjusts different colors again with the arrows. If you just press that button and go along, you can again again sorry adjust the light and how bright you actually want it, and it has got a little charging port here on the back. What is also good about this light is it’s got cold, shoe mount places on either side, so you can put a microphone in there in there on the side. You can hook up anything else that you want to go ahead with this, so if you really wanted to, you could put that light on the side of this site and have two different lights. To give you a bit of color correction within the video. But overall, this is again a really nice light and i will also put that in the description down below as well. So, with an iphone, you are going to need an adapter, as i said, i think it’s, the eight plus that you will need it, and this is a mango, audio, adapter and it’s a lightning to 3.5 millimeter female jack adapter.
So if i just open it up, it’s really really small and it’s just going to fit on the side of the phone really easily, and that is all it is. So that is obviously your lighting bolt connection. You get your phone, you just stick it into the side there that way up and as you can see, it then will bring the 3.5 millimeter cable up and into the back of the microphone again it’s just off the side. So if you don’t have an audio jack on the side of your phone, you can pick one of these up and i think this was about 16 pounds again. That will be in the link in the description down below but that’s how the vlogging kit will actually look on the camera and yeah it’s quite nice. I really do like this, especially for a sort of shoot and run kind of exercise, it’s light it doesn’t wiggle it’s, all on there and yeah it’s perfect, so let’s wrap the video up. So then, my overall thoughts of the uhuru ucm 11pl and it’s a really really nice bit of logging equipment. Like i said you get the tripod with the adjustable ball mount on top, which is absolutely perfect carrier the light and the microphone there’s. No batteries needed for the microphone, as i said, connect straight into any three and a half millimeter jack on a phone or the trs adapter straight into a camera and yeah.
What i didn’t say about the light is it’s got cold, shoe mountings on both the left and the right, as well as on top um. Again. What i would like to see from uhuru is to add an adapter something maybe for the iphones just to keep up with the times, but you can pick one of those up for 16 pounds. They will be in the description down below and you can pick up the lansi vl49 rgb light to go with it as well. So again, this whole kit that i’ve got here just comes in at under 105 pounds. Now again, thank you for uhuru for sending this out to me to have a look at, but everything is here ready and waiting now, for instance, let’s use the lumix g7 that i was using with its 12 millimeter lens and then obviously the rode microphone. The rode microphone on its own was 90 pounds, the camera i actually picked up second hand 300 and the lens on top of that was another 200.. So you are looking at 600 pounds for the lumix g7, a road microphone and the lens just to start vlogging, which is a lot of money like i said to start out with, whereas this kit overall comes in at 105 pounds with my two added extras. So if you want to check out more, the link will be in the description down below if you do go ahead and buy one.
Obviously, please do let me know as well in the comments section and obviously help out uhuru. I think this is absolutely brilliant product and i will be using this for when i’m vlogging as well, but, like i said, link, is in the description down below no it’s not going to cost you guys.
