So what have we got for you on the show today, we’ve got two me. 11 phones, and i have to tell you the me 11 ultra a phone from me as in xiaomi at 70, 000 rupees. The phone is great, i mean it’s got incredible features, including a second screen at the back uh, the best processor that you can actually go for 12 gb ram. Everything is fantastic, including the screen, but 70 000 rupees for a xiaomi phone. That is the big question. Another me phone, the me 11x pro we’ll review. This also then we’ll compare the me11 ultra to the other biggies at that price, including samsung and oneplus, and then, of course, we’ll wrap it all up with a samsung galaxy. M42. 5G. This is samsung now getting 5g at a lower price, of course, for samsung the brand. There are, of course, other brands that are at a much lower price for 5g that and a whole lot more happening on the sell. Guru show right now, of course, before we get started with all of that let’s take a quick look at all the news coming in from the world of mobiles. Music redmi has expanded its smartphone lineup by launching the note 10s powering the device’s mediatek helios g95 chipset available with 6gb ram it sports, a full hd ammo, led display with 1100 nits of brightness. It has a quad camera setup, which is backed by a 5000 mah battery.
It is priced at 14, 999 rupees, which is impressive, considering the hardware it offers. The brand also launched its first ever smartwatch called the redmi watch. It comes with a bright colorful display which promises features like in built gps for activity, tracking a 230 mah battery with water resistance priced competitively at ’99 rupees. This will definitely give users more options in the budget smartwatch category. We will be reviewing both these products soon. On cell guru, instagram in a recent update will now let users add pronouns to their profile. Users can add up to four pronouns which will display next to their name. Although this feature is only available in a few countries, the plans are to roll it out. To many more, there is a lot of buzz in the market over nothing. Nothing is the new technology brand in town now the brand, which is co founded by karl pai, the former co founder of oneplus, is all set to reveal its first product the year. One year, one is a true wireless earbud coming this june. While the design looks interesting, we hope the audio quality matches up as well. Our top story today is the me 11 ultra. I have to say, with this phone uh xiaomi has done some very interesting things. So, first and foremost, the big question is that when a brand plays in the budget and economy category or even in the mid price, 15 000, even 20 000 rupees that’s what the brand gets associated with and then you want to play more premium.
What strategies do you evolve? What business model do you take? So you stretch your price. You want to go up the price ladder, the value chain. Thirty thousand forty thousand, even fifty thousand rupees. Some people have been buying xiaomi phones for fifty thousand rupees, but seventy thousand rupees. That is a huge stretch. Look the phone is amazing: top of the line. Processor 12 gb of ram top of the line. Storage. Absolutely amazing screen second screen at the back, which a lot of people are saying is a gimmick. I love that feature great camera. Big battery it’s got it all, but it’s still a me phone it’s still a xiaomi phone. So somehow i think it just really. Uh is a huge debate and we’ll try and answer that we’ll compare this one, but right now, let’s take a quick look at the me11 ultra xiaomi’s journey to the top hasn’t been easy built on a legacy of value focused devices. The company has taken a slow and steady approach towards changing customer mindset. The me 11 ultra is in many ways the first real flagship from the brand to hit indian shores, but a packed spec sheet, isn’t a differentiator anymore. So what sets the me 11 ultra apart? Let’S find out in the sell guru review of xiaomi’s flagship, the may 11 ultra is a distinctive phone by any measure. In fact, looking at the camera hump, you might think it’s a camera attached to a phone, you’ll notice, three large lenses, but also a secondary display.
This second display might sound like a gimmick, but it lets you spot notifications, control, music and yes use it as a viewfinder. It certainly elevated our selfie, taking experience from the ceramic back to the aluminum frame, the excellent tactile feedback and ip68 rating. The me 11 ultra is built to high tolerances. You will, however, feel the hulking 234 grams of weight. In your hand, the large 6.81 inch screen is a thing of beauty. It goes as bright as 1700 nits, making it easy to see outdoors. Yes, it is hdr and dolby vision compatible and the content looks stunning. The media watching experience is further elevated by the well tuned harman kardon speakers. These are some of the best on any phone powered by a snapdragon, 888 processor and 12gb of ram. You don’t have anything to worry about performance. The phone easily runs everything, including the latest games, cranked up high, but tends to get a bit warm to the touch coming to the cameras. The 50 mp primary sensor is one of the largest in the business and it delivers the goods. The sheer amount of detail is excellent and the phone does a great job at managing the white balance. Contrast levels, no matter what the situation the natural depth of field of the sensor gives images a dslr like look and feel. The large sensor also allows you to get noise free images in low light. Meanwhile, the 48 mp ultra wide sensor captures wide landscapes beautifully with ample detail.
Switching over to the periscope camera. The me 11 ultra manages 5x zoom, unlike 10x on the s21 ultra, while xiaomi promises up to 120x zoom anything beyond 10x, just doesn’t. Look too good coming to battery life. Things are generally positive. The phone lasts a full day of active use with its 5000 mah battery. Additionally, the phone supports 67 watt charging, getting you an almost full top up in half an hour, though in india it comes with a 55 watt charger in the box priced at 69, 999 rupees, the natural competitor to the mi 11 ultra is the oneplus 9 pro And it is fair to say that xiaomi’s foray into the flagship space is taking things very seriously. The mi 11 ultra is coming all guns, blazing with not just a better camera setup, larger battery, better 5g support, but also cool additions like a genuinely useful second display. Unless you have a dislike for miui, the me 11 ultra is an easy recommendation for most flagship buyers. Now before we do that comparison with other phones, i’m going to do a quick review of this. The me 11x pro value flagships are some of the hottest selling phones in india, a keen focus on performance with the right balance of features and, of course, value makes them some of the most sought after devices, as is evident with the success of oneplus last year. Xiaomi introduced the mi10 series as a foray into the value flagship segment.
The company is now following it up with the mi11x pro the design of the mi 11x pro fits right in the line with the rest of xiaomi’s, 2021 lineup, the gorilla glass, 5 and aluminium design looks and feel premium. If not a bit familiar. We, like the gradient finish at the back. The buttons and port layout is typical, xiaomi, with good tactical feedback and features like the ir blaster as well as usbc. The phone even has a side mounted. Fingerprint scanner, which was very fast in our use up front, is a 6.67 inch super amoled display the 120 hertz panel is rated for 1300 nits and easily holds up under direct sunlight. The high brightness and excellent contrast ratio also makes it great for media consumption, which is further backed up by stereo speakers. Performance is one of the main reasons why people step up to value flagships and you get that in spades with the mi 11x pro. The phone is powered by a snapdragon 888 chipset with 8gb of ram. This is enough to run even the most demanding games with ease, no the phone doesn’t heat up too much, while doing so. Meanwhile, a 4500 mah battery ensures a full day of use. Most users will have to recharge the phone at night, though 33 watt charging takes under an hour to charge up the phone, and this is one area where oneplus does better, with 65 watt support. On the camera front, the 108 megapixel primary camera takes high quality images in most lighting conditions.
There is ample detail through the hdr mode. It adds a touch too much vibrance and contrast. The 8 megapixel ultra wide sensor, however, is a bit disappointing with not enough detail and a bit too much. Noise there’s, also a 5 megapixel macro camera that lets you get up and close with your subject. Overall, the mi 11x pro is a solid performance oriented phone from xiaomi, but if performance is what you crave, the mi 11x gets you most of the way there for a much lower price tag. Meanwhile, the mi 11x pro adds some nice features like a better ultra wide sensor and faster charging as well priced at rs ‘999. The mi 11x pro is a good phone, but there are better alternatives to consider and now it’s time to do that. Big story that i’ve really been wanting to bring to all of you the me 11 ultra versus the oneplus 9 pro versus the samsung s21. You know i never ever thought that i would be comparing a xiaomi phone to a samsung super flagship and both would be near the same price. It is quite amazing, let’s take a look remember in our shootouts. Only one can win. Xiaomi and oneplus have been touted as flagship killers in the past. Now, both these brands have their flagships, taking on the mighty samsung smartphones, as the market gets competitive in the premium segment. We compare the recently launched mi 11 ultra to the popular oneplus 9 pro and also the samsung s21 ultra to know how they stack up against each other and if you are in the market to buy a flagship which one should be your go to.
Smartphone let’s start with the design. The s21 ultra has retained the same design element from the s21 series, with a matte textured back, which is less prone to fingerprint magnets and has a classy feel to it compared to the oneplus 9 pro, which has a glass back, which also feels solid to hold. But the winner here is xiaomi’s mi 11 ultra. That takes the spot for us with its unique design, with a secondary display at the back and rounded edges coming to the display. All three smartphones are close to each other when it comes to their screen, size and quality. The only advantage if we have to give is to the mi 11 ultra as its screen gets a tad bit brighter than samsung and oneplus at 1700. Nits. All three smartphones have the latest and greatest oneplus 9 pro and mi 11 ultra offer 12 gb ram, as opposed to the samsung, which offers up to 16 gb, although the performance is identical and snappy with quick, app launches excellent gaming performance and smooth user interface. The experience is further enhanced by a 120 hertz fast, refresh rate that makes browsing on the web a delight talking about the cameras, both the oneplus 9 pro and mi 11 ultra have a triple camera setup, whereas samsung has four in terms of details and sharpness. All three smartphones do not disappoint, but when we talk about dynamic range and good colors, our vote will go to samsung for its punchy, colors and natural color reproduction, which were missing from the other two.
There are a plethora of camera lenses on all these smartphones, such as ultrawide and macro lenses to capture a variety of shots. Both the s21 ultra and mi 11 ultra have an identical 5000 mah battery with the oneplus having a smaller 4500mah edge. All of these smartphones can easily last you a day and then some when it comes to charging the oneplus takes the lead by offering lightning speeds of 65 watt. The mi 11 ultra supports even faster charging at 67 watt, but here in india we only get 55 watt charger in the box. Samsung disappoints by not only providing dismal 25 watt charging speeds, but also not providing a charger in the box, so what’s the verdict. As these are top level flagships, you cannot go wrong with any of these as a daily driver. It depends on the kind of user you are. If cameras are your priority, then the mi 11 ultra and samsung s21 ultra are the ones to pick but mind. You samsung is priced at one lakh 5999 as compared to mi ultra’s, a modest pricing of 69 999, and if you value stock, android experience and fast charging, then oneplus 9. Pro is the best bet priced around 64. 999. we’ll take a quick break right now in the cell guru show when we come back, lots more happening: Music filter towards the samsung galaxy m42. 5G 5g phone under 25, 000 rupees monster battery good camera. Everything is good.
Looking yeah, okay, 5g game has been played very well with many other companies. So i have to just think is this good enough? Samsung has struck a chord with consumers with its m series, popularly known for its monstrous battery. This series, single handedly, has put samsung back on the map of the mid premium. Second, now samsung is making the m series future ready with 5g and the latest in the 5g m series is the m42 we have here, but can the m42 take over the stringent competition in the under 25k segment, or does this have what it takes for it To be your next buy, the first thing you notice, when you hold this device, is how big it is. Despite that big screen one hand, operation is ideal because of the rounded edges which makes using the device comfortable when it comes to build quality. The phone is made of plastic, although samsung uses the term polycarbonate, it does not feel cheap. It gives a nice and solid feel when using the device. What we are not a huge fan of is the glossy finish on smartphones, including this one, which makes them more susceptible to fingerprints and smudges coming to the display it sports a 6.6 inch hd plus super amoled that has a 720 into 1600 pixels resolution. This is quite interesting and sad to see samsung not providing even a full hd panel at this price point, a high refresh rate is also given a miss here, which makes a huge difference in user experience and now has become the norm even in less expensive smartphones.
The viewing angles and brightness is quite good now coming to the meat and potatoes of the review, by which i mean the most essential aspects of the device. It is powered by a snapdragon 750 g octa core processor, with 6 to 8 gb of ram and 128 gb of storage, which can be further expanded to 1 tb 7 series of qualcomm processors are becoming more common in mid range devices and for good reason it Can handle daily tasks such as watching videos and games with ease we did not encounter any lags or stutters, thus providing a very delightful experience and with the added advantage of 5g connectivity, the experience is bound to improve further now let’s talk about the cameras. The m42 is equipped with a quad camera setup. The main camera is 48 megapixel and 8 megapixel ultra wide 5 megapixel depth and another 5 megapixel macro. The samples coming out of the main camera are clear and sharp in good daylight conditions, as well as in artificial lighting conditions. The ultra wide also does a good job of capturing more area with minimal distortions around the edges. The macro camera provides a good, close up details of subjects with adequate sharpness. Coming to the 20 megapixel front facing camera, the skin tones were produced very well with a good amount of sharpness. All in all, we think this is one of the biggest advantages of this smartphone. Another strong suite of the m42 is its massive 5000 mah battery capacity, which can easily last you all day and if you’re a light user can even stretch more than a day, and when you have a charge, you have a 15 watt fast charger to juice up.
Although we do wish it supported faster charging speeds, so what’s the wording at 25, 000 rupees a future proof 5g ready smartphone with a qualcomm processor, sounds incredible. While there are more feature rich high, spec options available, the samsung m425g stands out for its brand value and reliability. We say consider it as one of your main options with each passing year. Budget smartphones, you’ll notice continue to get better and better, and this progress is sometimes with cameras, sometimes with the screen or display there’s a lot of choice in the market, so let’s talk to qualcomm and find out from them all about this new snapdragon 480. The latest budget processor, the snapdragon 480, along with a huge leap in performance and brand new features that we are bringing in for the first time into the master in this device. You want to make sure user doesn’t need to compromise on any future. They desire that will serve consumers for several years.
